Privacy Policy

Metronome is designed to work without an account. This policy explains what stays on your device, how contextual advertising works, and the choices available to you.

1. Information handled by the app

Metronome stores your selected tempo, beats per measure, first-beat accent preference, and volume locally on your device. These settings are used only to restore your practice setup. The app does not require an account and does not directly collect your name, email address, contacts, precise location, payment information, or microphone recordings.

2. Advertising and consent

Metronome uses Google AdMob to show one banner ad. The app requests non-personalized treatment, disables the publisher first-party identifier, and does not request Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission. Google and its advertising partners may still process information such as your IP address, device and app information, ad interactions, consent choices, and diagnostics to deliver, secure, measure, and limit ads.

Where required, Google’s User Messaging Platform asks for your regional privacy choices before an ad request is made. A Privacy Choices control is available in the app whenever Google requires it.

3. How information is used

  • To remember your metronome settings on your device.
  • To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the app.
  • To display and measure contextual advertising.
  • To meet legal, consent, fraud-prevention, and platform obligations.

4. Third-party services

Google’s handling of advertising data is governed by its own policies. You can review Google’s Privacy Policy and advertising technologies information. Metronome does not control Google’s independent retention or security practices.

5. Retention and your choices

Practice settings remain on your device until you change them, delete the app, or erase its data. Advertising and consent information is retained by Google according to Google’s policies. You may revisit regional choices from the app when the Privacy Choices control is shown.

6. Children

Metronome is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not ask users to provide an age or create an account.

7. Policy updates

This policy may be updated when the app, its service providers, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version.
